Rem is a lost traveler that has gone past the point of return. With the help of a daemon, reality slips in and out of his memory until one day he falls back into reality amongst a group of travelers who have been looking for him for a very long time.
Nayomi

Pronouns: She/It
Nayomi is a daemon from a place where once a mortal has arrived, she is responsible for snuffing out their soul, since they cannot return to reality once they have reached her. But one day, Rem crosses her path and she could never allow Rem to cease from existence.
Cal
Age: 23
Pronouns: She/Her
Cal is a traveler from Vissen, collecting remnants of lost magical items from the coast. Though something is wrong with her after her last trip. The pains in her back were getting worse again, and without her doctor, she is left to figure out why on her own. To her, there is no better way to do that than to bring her best friend on a journey they may never return from.
Mindy
Age: 21
Pronouns: He/Him
Mindy is a sailor trapped at a tavern at the docks to work until he can pay off his debts to the owners and to the city of Vissen. The struggle to make ends meet begins to seem impossible until Cal gives him a way to run away. After all, the debts aren't in his name, and he could never refuse an adventure.
Phelmund

Phelmund is not what he appears to be. He is a very rare species with only twelve being born each year and they don't live very long. While she looks like someone close to adulthood, he is small and her wings are fragile. Most people like her live to mate, but he was found by Chi Chi and chosen as the Guardian. With her knew mission in life, he runs against time to try and find the bringer of music before she runs out of time.
Evelyn

Evelyn is an honorable knight of an elven kingdom, and her Majesty is slowly dying. Without the bringer of music, the world is collapsing in a world of silence and darkness. To save the kingdom, and the world, she goes against her Majesty's wishes to find the bringer of music.
Si

Si is the bringer of silence and has forgotten his past. But there is a darkness within him, and he knows what he must do: bring silence to all of the worlds.
Chi Chi

Pronouns: It/Itself
Chi Chi is the seeker of the bringer of music, created to help return the music back to the silence if they were ever separated. When it can't find its guardian, it finds someone worthy before wandering the ends of the worlds to find it's lost owner.
World Building
The Bridge
'The Bridge' is a term used by humans in the world where magic no longer exists. This term is used to describe a point of the western sea were no one has ever returned. The only ones who have seem to be drunken sailors with a tale of either a demon or Death himself showing them his true power with his army of demons and undead. Humans don't take it seriously, but the magical world beyond does. Magical beings had never lived with humans. But as the magical world started to fill with silence, some became humans and were cast out, many thinking these humans were a plague that caused the silence of their world. Soon they learned that wasn't true, but by time that was figured out, there were thousands of humans that didn't know magic was real. So to save them the cultural shock, the magical world hid from the humans to keep the peace.
